Summary: I will teach you how to cast unique objects with Jesmonite AC100 eco-resin in my East London studio. In this 3-hour relaxed workshop, you will cast TWO unique pieces; a tray from my 'Herringbone' range and a planter from my award-winning 'Faceture' range. You will mix pigments to cast your own colour combinations in silicone moulds. This workshop is suitable for beginners and groups are small, with a maximum of six participants. I will guide you every step of the way and show his tips and tricks as you create unique pieces that you'll take home with you on the day. The idea is to have fun and make some cool objects!
Duration: 3 to 3.5 hours approx.
Group Size: Maximum 6 participants. Workshop suitable for ages 14+.

What's included: All the materials you need for the workshop and light refreshments (see below). The objects you create are yours to take home at the end of the workshop.

How to get here:
Via train: The studio is approximately 7 minutes walk from Lea Bridge station, which is on the Greater Anglia network, via Tottenham Hale or Stratford
Via bus: Take the 55 or 56 bus to Lea Bridge Staion and walk approximately 7 minutes , or take the W19 bus to Staffa Road and walk approximately 3 minutes.
Via bike: There are plenty of covered bike locking posts just around the corner from the building.
Via car: Free arking nearby. Please let me know if you plan to park and I'll send you the details.
Access: My studio is on the mezzanine floor of an industrial unit, up one flight of stairs. Unfortunately there is no step free access. Participants will all sit around a table on high stools for most of the workshop with brief periods of standing while we mix and pour. There will be a short break approximately halfway through the session for refreshments. You can take a break at any time to use the toilet. There is lots of natural light and the temperature is controlled by a small air-con unit. The workshop will be conducted in English.

Refreshments: Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided in the daytime sessions. In the afternoon/evening sessions you'll receive a complimentary glass of beer, wine or a non-alcoholic drink, plus snacks. Note: I will not provide any nut based products.
Skills and safety: No previous craft or art experience is necessary. I will introduce and demonstrate all processes and support you throughout the workshop. All processes used in the workshop are safe and materials are non-toxic and VOC-free. We do not use any sharp or mechanised tools. Although not necessary, dust masks and gloves are provided if preferred. Aprons are provided but I encourage you to not wear your best clothes: spillages are rare but possible.
